Principal’s Greeting for School Year 2008-2009

Welcome to the Alcorn School website! If you’ve had the opportunity to visit our school, you already know about our wonderful, intelligent, talented children and staff – and have felt the warm and welcoming energy that pervades our hallways and classrooms. We are truly a community of learners – and the Alcorn teachers and staff are passionate in their commitment to nurture the academic and social/emotional development of each of our Alcorn Hornets. We are joined in our commitment to our children and their families by our partners - the Alcorn Family Resource Center and Educational Resources for Children. Each of these programs works closely with the school to serve the needs of our children and families through after school programs, family literacy events, preschool programs, family outreach services, and much more. We hope you enjoy our website. Although still a work in progress, we look forward to enhancing the information it provides in the coming months.
